Local Television Program Shines the Spotlight on

Senior Citizens in Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Stanton and Westminster

“Young at Heart” Features Segments on Special Seniors and their Activities

Orange County, CA – A new episode of “Young at Heart,” the locally-produced television program that spotlights senior citizens, is now airing on the City of Huntington Beach’s local television channel, HBTV-3, as well as on the City of Fountain Valley’s FVTV-3, the City of Westminster’s local television channel, WTV-3, and on the City of Stanton’s local channel.

In the fourth episode of the series, host Ron Roberson visits Paul’s Coffee Shop in Fountain Valley where Marine veterans (featuring “Sarge” who began his military career during WWII) meet up every Tuesday morning to reminisce about everything from boot camp to combat.“Young at Heart” also spotlights the City of Fountain Valley’s Senior Expo, which provides valuable information and resources for area seniors.

Host Ron Roberson Roberson also stops by the Westminster Senior Center, where seniors put on their dancing shoes for the regular Friday Dances and show the cameras their fancy footwork, including ballroom and line dancing.

The program also features a profile of effervescent Stanton senior Jenny Lacayo, who the cameras follow from her volunteer job at the OC Sheriff’s Dept. to her work as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner.  And she still finds time to garden, crochet, and be a grandma of 12!

The program also features an overview of the City of Huntington Beach’s new Senior Center at Central Park, as well as interviews with staff about the opportunities that await seniors in the area. Also included is a segment on “Senior Saturday,” an event held near the Huntington Beach Pier that offers goods, services and tons of fun especially for senior citizens.

“Young at Heart” is an award-winning, 30-minute television program produced by the Public Cable Television Authority (PCTA) that shines the spotlight on Orange County senior citizens, providing up close looks at interesting people and events geared towards seniors.

“Young at Heart” and other locally-produced, city-oriented programming can be seen in the City of Fountain Valley on Time Warner Cable/Spectrum Channel 3, Frontier FiOS Channel 21 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.

In the City of Huntington Beach, “Young at Heart” airs on Time Warner Cable/Spectrum and Frontier FiOS Channel 3.  In the City of Westminster the same programming is found on on Time Warner Cable/Spectrum Channel 3, Frontier FiOS Channel 42 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.

In the City of Stanton, “Young at Heart” airs on Time Warner Cable/Spectrum Channel 3, Frontier FiOS Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99.
