Meet the PCTA Team

John Borack

General Manager

Bio:

John M. Borack has served as the general manager of the Public Cable Television Authority since 2011, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization. Prior to PCTA, John worked for Time Warner Cable for more than 25 years, serving as the director of community affairs for the Southern California region, and earlier as the manager of media relations and television production. John serves on the board of numerous local non-profit organizations and is also a published author, with three books to his credit.


Louis Rocha

Production Manager

Bio:

Louis Rocha has more than 20 years of experience in television production and has earned numerous regional and national awards in the field. He has been the Production Manager for the Public Cable Television Authority since 2009 and is currently serving on the SCAN NATOA Board of Directors.

Previously, he worked as an assistant instructor in television production at Riverside Community College, where he taught classes on the Video Toaster and produced a semi-annual awards show for media students at the college. He then went on to take the post of Senior Producer for the City of Moreno Valley for nearly a decade.


Joe Rodriguez

Editor

Bio:

Senior Editor Joe Rodriguez is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with an emphasis in Radio/TV/Film. He has since worked for various production organizations throughout Southern California, including KABC-7 in Los Angeles and Cox Communications in Orange County. Along with working in television production for other governmental agencies, he has worked for the Public Cable Television Authority as an editor and producer for the past eight years.


 

Madison Love

Administrative Assistant

Bio:

Madison Love is new to PCTA and the television industry, joining the PCTA team in August 2017. Prior to joining PCTA, Madison worked for US Bank in Garden Grove, CA. She hails from Topeka, KS and graduated from Southern Utah University. She looks forward to continual growth with the PCTA team. In her spare time Madison enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her husband.


Danny Hitt

Producer & Host

Bio:

Danny Hitt is co-host of the PCTA produced TV show, “WOW! That’s In OC.”  He has worked in film and television production for more than 20 years, both in front of and behind the camera.  Joining the PCTA team in late 2009, Danny also produces the “CityWORKS” program, and also directs, provides voiceovers, and assists with master control operations.


C. Sue Braun

Producer

Bio:

C. Sue Braun has been in video production for a number of years, beginning her career at KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara, and then KCRA-TV in Sacramento. In Orange County, she has worked for several cities and Time Warner Cable (now Spectrum). Sue has been with PCTA since 2011 and enjoys producing “Young at Heart,” a show which features outstanding seniors and the many opportunities available to them.  She says that PCTA, in partnership with the cities it serves, provides an invaluable service to viewers who want to stay connected and informed.  Sue lives locally with her family and three mischievous dogs — Frodo, Freddy, and Lollipop.


Jacqueline Toueg

Producer & Host

Bio:

Jacqueline Toueg is a reporter/producer for PCTA, and hosts “The O Scene” for PCTA. She comes from a background in local news, beginning her career in Miami, FL at a Fox affiliate, followed by working in Charleston, SC as a producer/reporter for the CBS station. Jacqueline’s travels next took her to Shreveport, LA, where she worked as a weekend news anchor/reporter, then to to Palm Springs as a reporter. Jacqueline currently resides in Huntington Beach and loves living in such an engaging community that offers so many activities, yet still has a small town appeal.


Valerie Starn

Producer & Host

Bio:

Valerie Starn is an award-winning news anchor and reporter, and enjoys working both on camera as well as behind the scenes as a producer and editor.  Job highlights over the past 25 years include anchoring CNN Headline News Local Edition, producing the “Most Wanted Criminals” program for Time Warner Cable, and reporting for SoCal News on a great variety of subjects including breaking news, local politics, education, travel destinations, and everyday people who make a difference.  She joined the PCTA team in 2012 as a producer and host.  “I feel very fortunate to have a job that allows me to help connect communities and share stories about the people, places and things that make the OC such a great place to live,” Valerie says. At home, Valerie loves spending time with family as a surf and soccer mom, and cheering on the Anaheim Ducks.


Paul Silva

Producer

Bio:

Paul Silva is a Southern California native and the producer of “WOW! That’s in OC.” His previous broadcast and production experience includes four seasons of RIPLEY’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT!; documenting the launch of HALO 3 for Bungie; and producing and editing for various digital space brands including AOL, The Huffington Post and DEFY Media Networks.


Ron Roberson

Host

Bio:

Ron Roberson has worked in television for more than 25 years. He is the former host of CNN Headline News Local Edition, Chivas USA, Special Edition and The Pulse Media. He has worked with some of the top names in show business, such as Whoopie Goldberg, Smokey Robinson, the cast from “Game of Thrones,” Conan O’Brian, Ray Charles, and many others.  He has produced and directed several award-winning commercials and documentaries, and in 1992 received an Emmy Award for his work on a program titled “Gang Facts: What Every Parent Should Know.” He was also nominated for Emmy Awards in 2012 for “Leimert Park Today” and in 2017 for “Towers of Power.” In addition to his work hosting PCTA’s “Young at Heart” program, Ron currently owns and operates Miracle Productions, a private production company based in Southern California.


Michelle Richardson

Editor & Director

Bio:

Michelle Richardson has been working in the video production field for 17 years with companies such as Time Warner, Staples Center/AEG, and the Nokia/Microsoft Theatre. She has covered live sporting events for the Los Angeles Kings, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Los Angeles Clippers, and has worked on events with acts such as The Who, George Lopez, Yo Gabba Gabba, and many others.  She has edited music videos for Universal Music Group and also edits many of PCTA’s programs. She joined the PCTA family about four years ago, and she loves using creative editing to tell a story and directing live events.


Anna Chapman

Host

Bio:

Anna Chapman: TV Host.  Actress.  Singer.  Supermom.

Anna has been acting and performing since childhood.  She trained in theater and music at California Baptist University and after graduation, she married her college sweetheart and worked as an English teacher before having three wonderful kids.  She kept up her craft by acting in several commercials and co-creating a visual arts team for her church before landing her favorite roll: co-hosting “Wow! That’s in OC!”


Joel Berry

Producer

Bio:

Joel Berry is a Southern California-based producer who has created a number of promotional spots or PCTA. He began posting videos on YouTube in 2006 and through these videos he gained both an audience and a commercial agent. He has a production company called Sweet Tea Films and you can view more of his work at www.sweetteafilms.com.


Kyle Kittleson

Host

Bio:

Kyle Kittleson loves sushi, animals, and all of the amazing things to do and see in Orange County! Originally from Arizona, Kittleson joined the PCTA team as a co-host for “Orange Slices.” You can learn more about Kittleson at KyleKittleson.com and follow him on social media @KyleKittleson.


Matt Liffreing

Producer

Matt Liffering has been working within the local television scene for more than 35 years. He is an award-winning producer, recognized for programs such as a documentary on the Huntington Beach Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center, and by the State of California and the City of Huntington Beach for the” Rec Report” segment featured within the long running “Surf City Highlights” program.

Matt will soon celebrate 10 years of producing “Surf City Highlights,” which showcases many of the Huntington Beach events and people that help shape the community. Matt has also hosted and produced numerous other programs including the “Light a Light a Love” holiday event, and the “Miracle on Main Street.”

Matt lives in Huntington Beach.
