PUBLIC CABLE TELEVISION AUTHORITY WINS FIRST-PLACE AWARD
FOR LOCAL TELEVISION PROGRAMMING EXCELLENCE
Program discussing transparency in city government features City of Stanton Administrative Services Director Stephen Parker
Stanton, CA – A local television program detailing the efforts the City of Stanton is undertaking to increase transparency in city operations and finances has been honored by the Alliance for Community Media Western Region (ACM).
Produced by the Pubic Cable Television Authority (PCTA), the half-hour talk show “CityWORKS” features an in-depth interview with the City of Stanton’s Administrative Services Director Stephen Parker and took first-place honors in the “Best Talk Show” category at the ACM’s annual Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) Awards. On the program, Parker discussed the city’s current challenges, obstacles and successes regarding various financial matters . “CityWORKS” aired on the city’s government access television station, Stanton TV.
The Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) Awards recognize outstanding local television programming produced in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, and New Mexico. PCTA’s “CityWORKS” program was produced by Danny Hitt, with John Borack and Louis Rocha serving as executive producers.
Located in Orange County, the Public Cable Television Authority is a joint powers agency representing the cities of Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, and Stanton and produces exclusive local television programming for each of its member cities.
