PUBLIC CABLE TELEVISION AUTHORITY WINS FIRST-PLACE AWARD
FOR LOCAL TELEVISION PROGRAMMING EXCELLENCE
Program discussing transparency in city government features former Fountain Valley City Manager Bob Hall
Fountain Valley, CA – A local television program detailing the various efforts local cities are undertaking to increase transparency in city operations and finances has been honored by the Alliance for Community Media Western Region (ACM).
Produced by the Pubic Cable Television Authority (PCTA), the half-hour talk show “CityWORKS” features an in-depth interview with former Fountain Valley City Manager Bob Hall and took first-place honors in the “Best Talk Show” category at the ACM’s annual Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) Awards. On the program, Hall discussed the City of Fountain Valley’s financial challenges and what was being done to address them. The program aired on the city’s government access television station, FVTV.
The Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) Awards recognize outstanding local television programming produced in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, and New Mexico. PCTA’s “CityWORKS” program was produced by Danny Hitt, with John Borack and Louis Rocha serving as executive producers.
Located in Orange County, the Public Cable Television Authority is a joint powers agency representing the cities of Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, and Stanton and produces exclusive local television programming for each of its member cities.
